If You Have A Blog But Not A Lot Of Time, Here Are 5 Tips To Help

1.Start a Community Blog. A community blog is just that, a community of like-minded people who contribute to a blog. One of the obvious advantages to this type of blog is that you don’t need to spend a lot of time posting yourself to be part of an active blog. If you have a community of three or more people and you each post at least twice a week then you will have a pretty active blog. Be sure to use an RSS feed and have all contributors post the feed on their sites to get the benefit of each sites visitors.

2.Hire a team of bloggers. Newspapers have contributors, blogs can too. If you’ve ever used writers to do articles and content for you , they can do the same type of thing with a blog. Many of the most successful blogs are already doing this. The combination of group promotion effort, regular updates and pinging can help bring in traffic quickly. One thing to note here is blogs are a somewhat social tool. Some very popular niche blogs are not all that visible in the search engines, yet they get a lot of traffic because people recommend them and they become a sort of buzz hub. Search engines do not always pick up on this but they do eventually. This is why group blogging can be very powerful because you’re leveraging the power of not one (your) influence group but several people’s influence group. If you do pay your bloggers, you can always offset this cost by displaying Adsense ads. Many popular blogs earn a good amount in Adsense, that they make a nice profit even after paying their bloggers team. After a while it becomes a passive income stream.

3.Recycle Content. By taking previously published articles, interviews or even audio and breaking it up into blog sized pieces you can recycle old content and make it new again! You can break up long pieces into a bunch of segments and have a series going for, say, a week or so. Then you won’t have to worry about coming up with new content for a week!

4.Include audio. For some of us, it’s much easier to speak than to write. So, mix up your blog. Carry a small portable MP3 recorder or blog by phone. What a convenient way for moms who are running around all day , busing the kids where they need to go , doing errands , and whatever else needs to be done. Maybe you’re stuck in traffic, or waiting for the kids to get out piano class or school. An idea or thought strikes and you think “Oh I need to share that on my blog” so, pick up your phone (assuming you have a cell phone – and many of us do), dial a number, say what’s on your mind, save it and you’re done. Your blog is published. If you’re using Blogger, you can do this for free through AudioBlog. It involves calling a long distance number, but most cell phone plans don’t charge extra for long distance anyway so you’re not incurring any extra cost.

If you’re using another blog publishing tool like WordPress, Movable Type or TypePad, then you’ll need a service like AudioBlogger.com. This one is a paid service but it’s only $4.95 a month and it gives you more options like a nice flash player, statistics and even video that make it worth while.

5.Automating Your Blog. One of the things I love about using Wordpress as a publishing tool is that it offers a forward blog entry option that saves me tons of time. By using this tool you can blog ahead of time and have your entries posted on the day and time you choose. So let’s say you have a week’s worth of posts ready to go. You don’t have to come back each day and post, instead you write everything up in one day and schedule a new post out 24 hrs after the next. This will save you time!

Let’s face it. There will be times we have a ton to say and times we have little or nothing to share. Instead of having multiple entries one day and nothing over the next few days, by using forward entry you can blog everyday of the week. Or rather you blog once and the blog publishing tool does the job automatically the rest of the week. You can even forward blog for weeks and months ahead of time.

Note: Blogger users unfortunately cannot do this because Blogger publishes all entries regardless what you date it immediately.

Idea Hangouts: Where To Find Hot Product Ideas To Use For Creating Your Next Best-selling Ebook

That’s how many times I’ve been asked “Where can I find hot product ideas to write about in my next eBook?”

Really.  I’ve been keeping count.  :o )

OK, so it’s probably not quite that many times, but you get the idea.

I get asked that question a LOT.

And so, I’ve decided to share my favorite “idea hangouts”.
That’s right … “idea hangouts.”  It’s been my experience that there are specific places where hot product ideas are always gathered.  I call them “idea hangouts.”

*** Idea Hangout #1 ***

One of the “idea hangouts” that I’ve identified is Amazon.com.

Amazon.com is the web’s largest bookstore.

It’s also a community center for new product ideas.  I use it as one of my top brainstorming resources.  Again and again I visit this site to come up with topics to write about.

What makes Amazon.com so useful as a research tool for getting new ideas is their searchable database of books.  There are thousands of great ideas lurking in there if you just know how to use it.

And that’s what I’m here for. :o )

I’m going to show you how to find hot product ideas with Amazon.com anytime you want.

It’s really a matter of three simple steps …

STEP 01 : >>> Decide Upon A Broad Category.  When brainstorming ideas, you must begin with a broad category to work with.  Some examples might be:  weight loss, marketing, dating, travel, baseball.

So, you need that ahead of time.  Figure out a broad subject that you know is popular (I.E. You know that losing weight is ALWAYS going to be a popular subject, as is “making money.”).

As an example for this article, I’m going to choose GOLF.

STEP 02 : >>> Search Amazon’s Database.   After picking your broad topic to research, it’s time to visit Amazon.com.

Specifically, you’re going to SEARCH their database of books they are selling.

Upon arriving at their site, locate their SEARCH form.  At the time of this writing, it was in the upper left hand corner of their main page.  Pull the menu down and select BOOKS from the options.

In the space provided, type in whatever broad category you chose.  I’d type in “Golf”. (You don’t need quotation marks)

If you did indeed start with a broad category, then hundreds (or even thousands) of book listings should appear as a result of the search.

STEP 03 : >>> Brainstorm Ideas From The Listings.  Let the brainstorming session begin!  Now it’s time to look at the books that are listed and write down as many possible ideas as you can find.

Look for the different TYPES of books written about the subject, identifying different THEMES, STYLES and SUBCATEGORIES.

Let’s look at an example …

When I searched for “Golf”, I was able to immediately spot dozens of great ideas.  Here are a handful …

1. Becoming a better golfer.  There are many golf books available in this area, covering everything from “A-Z of Golf Shots” to specific topics such as “Improving Your Short Game.”  There were lots of different themes from “learning to break 100” to “shaving 10 shots off your score” to “7 shots that will change your golf game forever.”

2. Guides to Golf Courses.  Again, we have many different ideas here.  Specific golf guides like “Florida golfing”, “golfing in Tennessee” and “golfing the Robert Trent Jones trail” appear, as well as books on “the best golf courses in America,” “best kept secrets:  great golf courses you’ve probably never played,” and “golf vacation guides.”

3. Profiting from Golf.   More ideas pour in with “opening a golf repair business,” “becoming a golf retailer,” “learning how to caddy” and “buying & selling used golf clubs.”  What about “running an online golf auction”, “organizing a golf tournament for profit” or even “writing information products about golf!”

4. Golf and Business.  There are millions of dollars in business deals negotiated on the golf course every single year.  And there are books available to teach folks how to get it done.  “How to negotiate business deals during golf outings,” “Legal golf tax deductions for businesspeople,” and “business seminars and golf:  how to mix training and fun for maximum profit” are just a few more ideas worth exploring.

5. Golf Products.  My, my, my there are so many ideas floating around in here!  Everything ranging from reviews of the latest golf equipment to ratings of golf courses to discounts on golf packages.  Resource guides to finding the best deals on golfing products, how to negotiate discounts, and how to find the best products for your specific golf game also come to mind as product ideas.

One Broad Category (Golf)
+ Amazon.com Searchable Database of Books
= 28 Potential Product Ideas

See how easy that was?  I found TWENTY-EIGHT potential new product ideas (and there were MANY MORE that I didn’t mention in this article) from a simple brainstorming exercise using ONE “idea hangout.”

There’s got to be a best-seller in that bunch somewhere.  And certainly with a little “mix -n- match” I can come up with a hit product with these ideas.

Not bad, eh?

So, now it’s YOUR turn.  It’s a simple system for coming up with product ideas anytime you want.

Like right now.

I Want My Search Engine Rankings

Unfortunately, many webmasters do nothing in order to improve Web site rankings. The search engine ranking algorithms are well kept secrets, and they change often. Search engines have to parse the HTML code of your web site to find the relevant content. If your HTML code contains errors, search engines might not be able to find the content on the page, and there ends your search engine optimization efforts and pursuit for high rankings of that page.

When you market your Web site you must ensure that your search engine optimization campaign targets the correct keywords or search phrases. Your keywords should be closely related to your product or service offerings.

Links are one of the most important parts of optimization, and they are absolutely essential to succeed online. You need to have more links pointing to your web site. An ongoing link building campaign is essential. The link text on your web site should contain your keywords related to your products. The link text outside of your web site should contain your keywords as well. Both onsite and offsite link text optimization is essential.

Proper Meta tags are an important part of a complete search engine optimization campaign. Your Meta tags are helping your visitors and the search engines find your web site.

Both off page and on page elements influence search engine rankings. The most important off page element is link text. Links carry even more weight if the text around them is concerned with the target page’s topic and search term(s). The link text can be on pages within the site or on other sites’ pages. Either way, it is important.

The page title is one of most important elements for good rankings. Be sure that the page’s search term is contained in the title tag, and place it as near to the beginning as possible. Each page’s Title tag should be different to the Title tags on the site’s other pages. Make sure each page contains a unique page title.

Article submissions help you get links pointing to your site increasing your link popularity. How do articles give me links? When your article is posted on someone’s Web site you are typically given a by-line or author bio which you can link to your website.

Updating your site with content helps your ranking. Search engines like sites that are constantly updated with content. Providing your site visitors with relevant information about your services and products is important. Good content helps your visitors to find relevant information, and it helps your site with search engine rankings.

I Can’t Afford A Publicity/Public Relations Campaign — Can I?

It’s a phrase I hear over and over again from many entrepreneurs, small businesses owners and inventors: “I’d love to hire someone to launch our publicity campaign professionally, but we can’t afford it, so I’m just going to have to do it on my own.”

Over the past several months, I have been conducting an informal survey among entrepreneurs and business owners who have contacte

Hunting Outfits

While hunting can be traced back to the time of the cavemen, modern sport or game hunting emerged much later in time, with its roots seemingly coming from ancient Greece. Divided into two types, recreational and trophy, sport or game hunting has long been a pastime of choice for a lot of outdoorsmen.

As with other sports, hunting often requires specific equipment. One of these necessities is the hunting get-up or outfit. Built to withstand certain weather extremes as well as be versatile enough for a variety of terrains, these outfits have to pass certain quality standards and meet consumer tastes and specification as well.

Some prime examples of these kinds of outfits are the Redhead CWS Parka and Bibs for men. These are built from a windproof and waterproof material that also boasts of breath ability. This breathable fabric facilitates the transportation of sweat out of the clothing while keeping outside moisture at bay. This technology also ensures that this fabric can keep out stiff, bone chilling winds and cold weather to keep you warm and focused while you hunt.

The Redhead CWS Parka is designed with the serious hunter in mind. Incorporating certain design elements such as its ultra-efficient pocket scheme and thermal liner, the Redhead CWS Parka is indeed a piece of hunting clothing you shouldn’t do without. Other features of this remarkable piece of hunting clothing include taffeta lining, a polyester shell that is ultra-quiet, under-arm gussets, an insulated hood that is removable and has snaps and a full-zip front complete with storm flap. Adjustable wrists, shock cord tighteners, cargo pockets equipped with hand warmers and a 7 inch accessory pocket and a whole lot of other features complete the Redhead CWS Parka.

The Redhead CWS Bib for Men is the perfect partner for the Redhead CWS Parka. Built with the same cold weather system as the parka, the Redhead CWS Bib for Men keeps the cold weather out while keeping the warmth in with its insulated interior. This tough piece of clothing is also remarkably easy to wear, wasting none of the hunter’s time in dressing. Like the parka, the bib also comes with multiple features that include numerous pockets and non-glare snaps. It also has a 2-way 17 inch zipper complete with storm flap, a partially elastic waist, hip-high leg zippers also with storm flaps and 2 zipper pockets that are lined. Other pockets for the bib include the security flapped back pocket and 2 more cargo pockets. All zippers on both the bib and the parka are reliable YKK brand zippers.

These outfits come in the camouflage designs aptly named Mossy Oak and Real Tree Hardwood. Available in sizes: ranging from Medium to Large and all the way to 3XL. Other outfits included in this line are the Redhead Deluxe Overalls and Redhead All Season Jackets, which are also for men. These hunting outfits can be had for prices ranging from $69.95 up to $139.88, with some outfits currently on sale.

Hundred-Fold-Life-Team: Qualities That Entrepreneurs Need

One of the biggest myths regarding starting your own business is that you are doomed to failure unless you have a natural aptitude or a natural talent for business. In other words, if you weren’t born to be an entrepreneur, then you are going to be sunk before you even start. Needless to say, this is an untrue notion. I for one was never in business. I was a firefighter for 25 years before I started my home business. While there are a number of skills that you absolutely have to be a successful businessman, there are ways for you to develop those skills along the way. Instead of those skills, what you need to be thinking about are the qualities inherent to all good entrepreneurs. There are some of them and there are some things you need to have, but if you are interested in starting a business chances are you have them already.

The first one is perseverance. Starting a business is like the exponential version of working on a project for school. When you are learning a new concept for that project, you are going to have to go slow, but steady. If you just start, do it for a bit and then leave it alone, you are going to fail the project. But if you start it and then keep at it little by little, you are going to end up with a successful final product. This is what you need to do in business; you need to keep at it until you get to the point of being successful.

In addition to perseverance, you need to have a thick skin. In the business world, you are going to meet a number of cutthroat individuals that would like nothing better than to see you fail so that they can succeed. While it is good to have business relationships with other companies, what is not so good is taking anything negative they say as the gospel and taking it completely to heart. If you do that, then it won’t take very many negative comments before you hang up your business for good. Consider taking people’s advice if it is constructive, but do not listen to anyone that is completely negative.

Finally, in addition to perseverance and a thick skin, you also need to have the ability to deal with failure. There are a number of people that do not have this ability and in fact there are people that give up on something after having one unsuccessful try at it. This is something that you need to avoid in business because you’re going to fail at things again and again. The most successful businessmen of today were failures at some point yesterday; what makes them successful businessmen is that they did not give up. You shouldn’t give up either; if you have one quality out of these three, make sure it is the ability to deal with failure. Failure is just a step to overcome in your pursuit of your Hundred-Fold-Life.
